Hi Mr. Izo,
We love the plane and recently Rocky got a fresh engine OH.. I was thankful to get to speak with your mother. There was a glitch in the trade with the boys in Dallas and we needed her signature on a doc. Your mother shared a few things with me and I learned about the name Rocky and we kept that. Just so happens our mechanic goes by Rocky. So we say Rocky is at Rocky's. We just went through engine OH last summer. Also, we are looking at a new composite 3 blade prop. I will try to add some pictures to show some of the newer things that have gone on. Very good to here from you and tell your parents I said hi. Your mom mentioned having some memorabilia from the early days and maybe some things from the original purchase. I would certainly be interested in any of that if they want to part with it. I should email her. I was surprised to see your comments. Don't look on here but every so often.
If you get on the Commander Owners Group web board you can leave me a personal message. rgoman is my username. Maybe we can meet up sometime. Happy flying
Jeffrey Izo
on October 27, 2016Mr Gorman. My father was the previous owner of 18W in Oregon. I grew up flying Rocky as we affectionately called the plane. I eventually became an Air Force C130 pilot and am now a regional Airline Captain. She Still looks beautiful, especially with some new avionics. I'm glad we found someone who is taking care of her as well as my dad.
