1978 Commander 114, OY-FIN
I acquired the Commander 114, Serial #14359 Reg. # N5775N, in 1995. I added a new Black Mac 3-blade propeller, new leather interior, a metal instrument panel, new radios and a few other things to the airplane. But in 2000 I sold it, because I spent most of my flying time in a Citation.
Three years later, the guy who bought the aircraft, put it up for sale again. Since I had promised my wife to retire in 2005, I figured it would be nice to have it back and enjoy the use of it in my retirement. And that's what I am doing now.
Since then I have done a few more things, like adding three new Garmin radios. GNS 530, GNS 430 and GTX mode S Transponder.
In 2009 the engine was completely overhauled with new cylinders etc.The aircraft now has a total of some 2900 Hrs. and 100 Hrs. on the engine.
I enjoy beeing a member of the Commander Group. It has proved very helpful to me in many ways.
