1976 112A Hot Shot
Based Farmingdale, NY (FRG).
In 2002, I purchased "007".
In 2003, I added the Vortex Generators, Bogert Aviation copper cable kit, Aero Enhancements elm burl overlay, Garmin AT MX-20 MFD with Traffic, Northstar M3 Approach GPS (with C-1 SmartComm), PS Engineering PS-7000MS Audio Panel with CD-Player, I-Link WX-500 Stormscope, and Garmin GTX-330 Transponder.
In 2004, I added ChartView for the MX20 and also added the Mid-Continents electric horizon.
In 2005, the plane was painted in the 114-AT scheme by Gray's Aircraft Refinishing (Ozark, AR). They use 2 base coats and 2 clear coats to give it a lasting "wet look". They also installed the wingtip recognition/landing lights. I also added the leather yolks and S-Tec 60PSS 2nd axis autopilot. The interior was redone in the Commander 115TC style by International Jet Interiors (Islip, NY). I added a new 3-bladed Prop, new Turbo, and fresh Engine overhaul (Mattituck).
In 2006, I added a 2nd Northstar M3 Approach GPS (with C-1 SmartComm) and a Narco NAV-122D ILS system.
In 2007, I had the 2nd Northstar M3 also IFR certified, replaced the windows, and replaced the window temperature probe with the one for the Garmin.
In 2008 I replaced the primary Northstar M3 GPS/COMM with a Garmin GNS480 and added a DAC GDC31 GPSS roll steering unit.
I'm a CFI/CFII/MEI and instruct evenings and weekends.
